Quantity Surveyor
Role Overview
Selah Risk Advisory is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its technical projects team. The role is focused on providing commercial oversight, cost management, and risk analysis across building, real estate, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical and commercial due diligence on construction and infrastructure projects
- Provide cost analysis and lifecycle cost assessments from feasibility through project close-out
- Support tender evaluations and contract administration processes
- Monitor project performance, budgets, and cost variations
- Assess claims, variations, and contractual risk exposures
- Prepare detailed technical and risk reports for internal and client use
- Contribute to project risk identification, mitigation strategies, and advisory recommendations
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, insurers, and project sponsors
- Support internal knowledge development and best-practice frameworks
Skills and Competencies
- Strong commercial and contractual acumen
- Advanced cost management and project monitoring capability
- Technical due diligence experience
- Excellent report writing and structured analytical skills
- Strong verbal communication and stakeholder engagement ability
- High attention to detail and professional judgement
- Ability to operate independently in dynamic project environments
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience across building, real estate, and infrastructure projects
- Proven exposure to the full construction project lifecycle
- Experience in claims management and contract administration
- Registration with a recognised professional body will be advantageous
